Following
a concern raised at last nights Management Committee meeting; I have
been asked to write to all clubs to remind them of the rules
regarding kit colours. Under no circumstances are clubs allowed to
wear black or very dark shirts. This is to avoid clashes with
referees who are required, by the Football Association, to wear
predominately black. (The Premier League and Football League are
exempt from this ruling)
Under
no circumstances are the referees required to change their shirt due
to a clash of colours.
In
the event of a club having a kit which clashes with the referee, and
being unable to change, the game will not go ahead and the club will
be dealt with as per rule regarding an unplayed fixture.
Your
cooperation on this matter is greatly appreciated.
